When I booked my dive trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I expected stunning reefs. And I found them. But then I discovered something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **Diving a Sunken Wreck**. My heart leaped. This wasn't just a standard reef dive; this was an exploration into history.

I have to admit, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the team at **Amadive** were incredible. The Divemasters gave us an excellent briefing. We discussed our safety procedures, the story of the wreck, and what we would see. The fact we were in a small group immediately made me feel safe.

Descending was unforgettable. At first, it was just a shadow in the distance, then suddenly the structure came into view. It is enormous. It's now a thriving new home, draped in soft corals and swarming with marine life. I spotted big groupers peeking from the cargo hold, and lionfish hiding in the cracks. That feeling of swimming alongside this silent, ghostly vessel was hard here to describe—haunting, beautiful, and humbling all at once. It's a piece of history under the water.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and looking for something more the standard reef, I cannot urge you this **dive** enough.
